WESTFIELD GOES SHOPPING FOR JOINT-VENTURE PARTNERS

Westfield has sold 50 per cent of the Merry Hill shopping centre in Britain to Queensland Investment Corp for £524 million ($A1.3 billion), raising funds for other developments.
Westfield would retain control of leasing and development of the centre, near Birmingham, the company said. Merry Hill has about 150,000 square metres of retail space and tenants include a Marks & Spencer department store and a Sainsbury supermarket.
