Plan commission passes Lantern Commons onto council
Full Description:
The Westfield Plan Commission declined to make a recommendation about the proposed Lantern Commons Shopping Center.
Commission members did not feel they had enough time to adequately review changes to the proposal, presented Monday night by developer Pine Tree Commercial Realty LLC.
The developer’s presentation included several changes, which town planners were not aware of until the Monday meeting. Developers wanted a vote regardless.
Commission members voted 5-3 to forward the proposal to the town council with no recommendation.
“To take such a quick look, and then make a recommendation, would be doing an injustice,” plan commission member Cindy Spoljaric said.
